Complex treatment planning and the resulting restorative procedures can be made more simple and predictable.  By understanding the habits of excellent clinical dental teams and how they apply their knowledge we can develop predictable solutions to complex cases.  Occlusion, sequencing, preparation design, provisionalization, shade communication, risk assessment, and other such steps will help us systematize the processes and protocols.  You will be able to evaluate and solve more of the challenging treatment plans that present regularly in practices today.  Mark will show techniques and cases that illustrate these simplifiers. Risk Assessment and an Evidence Based approach to treatment selection, planning and presentation will be emphasized.

Does the thought of applying occlusal principles leave you feeling weak in the knees?  In this half-day review of examination, differential diagnosis, splint therapy, treatment planning and equilibrating occlusal surfaces, our emphasis will be on how to easily communicate with your patients.  We will walk through each phase of occlusal evaluation and rehabilitation "breaking down" the process into words your patients will understand.  We will be discussing effective things you can say to patients so they both understand and want to follow through with your occlusal treatment recommendations.

The physics, bio-mechanical, physiological and psychological dimension of occlusion and TMD will be discussed.  The focus will be on developing skills that you can put to use right away in planning and restoring dentitions for your patients.  Follow up programs with a hands on component to manufacture, deliver and adjust splints on participants can be arranged.
